I've been working in the digital communications industry for over six years. i started off marketing and producing content for nurseries, primary schools and private or online schools, varying from educational resources to forms and brochures. It was a great way to get some initial experience, and pay for vet school!

I then took a job working three days a week at a local zoo, and two at a local vets. Both jobs involved getting to know different species and educational habitats - but I couldn't ignore my love for writing, and took the opportunity to revamp the zoo's blog. We got thousands of followers, a great social media community and plenty of suggestions for events and animals that our visitors would love to see - resulting in a big rise in visitors.

Since then, I've worked for a variety of clients, from online magazines to fashion houses, charities to hospitals. I write blogs, create newsletters and produce direct mail campaigns. But more than that, I build communities, establish relationships and create trust. If you need a new dress for a big night out, you'll visit Macy's - but you'll also visit to check out the latest catwalk trends, find out what the celebrities are wearing and get great gift ideas for birthdays and christmas. Your local vets blog and newsletter won't just tell you about what's happening at the surgery, or what the latest deals are, but it'll let you know the latest in veterinary treatment, let you "aawww!" at gorgeous animals, share exciting breakthroughs and let you follow case studies.
